Need advice on a new car
We are ready to buy a new car and need some advice. We have one DS and will be planning on trying for #2 in the summer. What cars does everyone drive and would you recommend it for 2 children? We're not sure if we want a car or an SUV, so all suggestions are welcome.

Re: Need advice on a new car
When I first had DD, I was driving a sedan. The one aspect I really didn't like was taking the infant seat in and out. It was cumbersome and backwrenching because the seat was in the middle. We got a Trailblazer a couple of months ago and that is so much easier to get the seat in and out of as well as her stroller. I think the next car we get is going to be a minivan as my sister has one and it's SO much easier with children.

Re: Need advice on a new car
We had a Toyota Camry and a Subaru Outback - they did the job, but it was cramped. Then we traded in the Camry for the Toyota Seqoia - I LOVE this car. SO much room and I feel so safe driving it with Alex in the car. About a month ago I was hit, fairly hard, from behind. The woman's car was totally crumpled and not driveable - all I felt was a tap, and no damage to the car AT ALL. It's amazing

we have a passat, jeep cherokie and a mazda m3. The easiest is the passat. I like the jeep for toting around her stuff though.

Re: Need advice on a new car
I really liked my Pontiac Vibe before my lease was up and I got the GMC Envoy. The Vibe has lots of room, gets 30+ mpg, and it perfect for 1 to 2 kids. I also love my Envoy, it drives so nicely, has great room, but the gas mileage isn't as good as the Vibe.
Good Luck. I often thinK what I will do if we ever have another one (the 3rd) because I am not a fan of a mini-van at all. I will be driving a monster truck before I get a mini-van, LOL!

Re: Need advice on a new car
We have a buick rendevous and I think it will be fine with 2 kids. We also have a folding third row seat which is great when we have other family members in the car. I definitely recommend an suv of some sort. The extra room for bags and strollers is nice. If and when child number 3 comes around is when we will move into a mini van. Especially since we always have extra family members who come to visit and need transportation.

Re: Need advice on a new car
We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Cadillac CTS.....I actually like the Caddy the best....it has so much room and fits all of her stuff.....cheaper on gas too than the jeep.

Re: Need advice on a new car
We are picking up our Honda Pilot on Tuesday! It fits 8 people total and if you fold back the 3rd row - there is so much trunk space!
