Need Advice on Different Yorkie haircuts

So I am a beginner with different groomign styles for a yorkie. I usually drop him off and say cut him short.

But with the winter, I would like his hair to be longer and I think he looks crazy when we cut it short (like a bobble head).

What are the different cuts you get for your dog? Do I just tell them to shave his ears, bottom and by his privates? TIA

My guys get a puppy cut.
That's what every groomer we've went to was told.
It's not long like a show yorkie and it's not short like a buzz.
If you don't like the shorter cut, be specific.
Act like it's your own hair and tell them what you want.
I hate when Bruno comes out looking like a herb w/his giant yoda ears if they go too short.

during the summer my chewy gets a 3 on his body and on his head they trim the ear hair and face hair but not too short so that he still looks cute.

in the winter i ask for a 4 or 5 and his head hair a lil longer so its all even.

i'll try to post pics tonight of his different looks.

We never get the puppy cut on our yorkie. We like her with the semi-long hair. She is actually getting groomed today with my MILs yorkie. I'll post a picture when I get home.

We normally tell the groomer to cut the yorkies hair around their face/butt and trim their sides, along with their nails, express sac, etc.
