Need advise re: night time potty training
My son is 3yrs old is day trained however still wears a diaper at night. He wakes up between 3-4am because his diaper is wet so I change him he goes back to sleep and then is dry when he wakes around 8am. So my question is knowing he does wet in the middle of the night do I try to let him go to sleep without a diaper and have an accident and hopefully he won't like it and learn how to hold it for the night or do I keep him diapers until he starts to wake up dry? Also for those whose dc go to bed with out a diaper what time is there last drink around. I have a feeling I need to cut back on his drinking at night but he always has a cup of milk before bed. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

I would try giving him his milk an hour or two before he goes to bed first and keep the pull-up. If that does not work then I would maybe try removing it.

Definitely cut down on the drinking. Cut out that milk before bed. I would try no drinks after 6 (depending on bedtime that is) I would keep the diaper till he is dryer during the night, especially if he is soaking the diaper.

Re: Need advise re: night time potty training
My DS trained both day and night time right away. I really think it has to do with the fact that he can sense he has to go and can wake himself up (he's not a heavy sleeper, despite the fact he can really sleep ). Yes, he's had an accident or two, but for the most part, it's good.
I think that if he's still waking up with a wet diaper in the middle of the night, I would keep him in diapers until you get a dry night. You can try going to underwear and see how it plays out. My son has his last drink with dinner at about 7 p.m. and bed time is 9 p.m. He does go to bed and keeps a glass of water on his nightstand to take sips, but he's not drinking it all.
