need an easy dip recipe (and cheap hopefully)
I'm going to a friend's house and bringing pita chips and hummus. I'd like to bring a second dip b/c there are a few pickier non-hummus eaters. Any recipes for a yummy dip without too many ingredients?

I like sour cream mixed with a bit of mayo and a lot of garlic powder.
You can also do a package mix where they have the seasonings and you basically just mix it with sour cream, or cream cheese, or whatever the seasoned package calls for. They usually have french onion.
You can also make a queso type dip. Cheese melted and throw in a can of spicy diced tomatoes.

I make a bean dip that's good! In a metal baking pan I put a layer of cream cheese on the bottom, a can of refried beans mixed with a packet of taco seasoning in the middle, and shredded cheese on top. Put in a 350 degree oven until the cheese melts.

This is awesome, simple and a little different. Southwest Red Pepper Dip:
1 cup antipasto roasted red peppers (I like B&G brand)
1 block Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 (or a little less) packet Hidden Valley Ranch powder
Put above in food processor and puree until smooth. Serve with tortilla chips.

These all are great ideas. I am looking for something not quite the ordinary though. This sounds yum! I just lent my SIL my only food processor though

Buffalo Chicken Dip is easy, cheap, and yummy.
2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened 1 cup Ranch dressing 3/4 cup pepper sauce (such as Frank's Red Hot®) 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly
Also, chili dip is super easy. Spread a package of cream cheese in the bottom of a dish. Top with a can of no bean chili. Sprinkle a package of shredded cheddar on top. Heat in the microwave until the cheese melts.

Chili Dip: 1 can Hormel Chili (beans or no beans your choice) 1 8oz Package of cream cheese (brick style) shredded Mexican blend cheese
Spread cream cheese on the bottom of a glass pie dish, put can of chili on top of cream cheese, cover chili with shredded cheese, microwave until cheese on top is melted.

Re: need an easy dip recipe (and cheap hopefully)
This is the easiest dip and a huge crowd pleaser:
1 envelope onion soup mix 1 tub sour cream 1 brick frozen chopped spinach
thaw the frozen spinach and squeeze out excess water. Mix the sour cream, soup mix and spinach in a bowl...that's it. I serve it with veggies and chips
