Need awesome Plain chocolate chip cookie recipe?
Does anyone have a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe? We always bake the frozen cookies so I would love to bake chocolate chip cookies from scratch with the kids.
TIA!

Re: Need awesome Plain chocolate chip cookie recipe?
If you like a soft chocolate chip cookie (these stay soft and are actually better the second day). They cook A LOT so half the recipe!!
SOFT Chocolate Chip Cookies
Cook Time 12 minutes Servings 72 cookies INGREDIENTS: · 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour · 2 teaspoons baking soda · 2 cups butter, softened · 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar · 1/2 cup white sugar · 2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix · 4 eggs · 2 teaspoons vanilla extract · 4 cups semisweet chocolate chips · 2 cups chopped walnuts (optional) DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside. 2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. 3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

I have to try this. Did you measure the flour or weigh it?
Oh, and there are several other contenders on this site. I can't wait to make them!

I am curious is it the pudding that makes them soft?
I have been making CC cookies EVERY xmas for a long time and I always use the Toll House recipe...which is also delicious and everyone loves. But curious if these are even better.

Re: Need awesome Plain chocolate chip cookie recipe?
Yes I think that is what makes them soft because it is the only thing different then other recipes I have used.
