Did you open everything up already? Can you just not set it up and tell family members that you wanna wait until you see what you are having and then get a more girly set?

I thought about this also, but I just could not wait to set it up. I want to have everything ready soon after the shower. I am a planner and need things in order esp with the holidays coming. Do you think adding pink will be enough? I mean I don't want a bubblegum nursery anyway and I adore monkeys so do you think adding enough "girly" thigs wil help?

yeah, you could find some girly monkey pics and other things. i got neutral bedding for DD b/c we didn't find out her gender and added some things to make the room more girly. I totally wish I didn't get neutral bedding! I wish I had a girly room, though I too wouldn't have gone all pink. Oh well! IMHO, I'd get girly bedding and not put it out yet!

Hmm, I'm not sure adding pink to that color combo is going to work, but I'm also not someone who thinks girl rooms need to be pink. What about a soft lavender?

The lampshade and crib sheet are a great start. I was going to say artwork - use artwork to tie in a more girl-themed color scheme!

I hear you about not wanting a total girly nursery. I knew I was having a girl last time and picked out a gender neutral bedding set from the beginning and painted the walls a beige color. It was an animal theme and super cute! But I will also add, now that I am having another girl, and the fact that the girls will be in a different bedroom, I've decided to go a little girlier and do their bedding in greens, yellows and blues. Here is the bedding I am doing:
Looking at the bedding you've chosen, I have a hard time envisioning the pink accents. I would probably do yellow instead, to be honest. Or, I would get different bedding with monkeys (or any other animal) that already has a girlish accent color.
