Anyone know of any good short term rentals ??? (under 2mo)
Does anyone know of any good short term rentals? I am curious what people do if they need to find a place for a month or two.
I would hate to have to move into somebody's apartment just for a month or two. Most landlords would probably want a tenant there for a while so I would obviously not tell them I only plan on being there for a month or two.
I wonder if there are any decent places to rent that specialize in short term rentals? It seems like these would be super pricey. All I would need if I decided to go for a short term rental is a 1br for now, preferably in Nassau County but I could be flexible with that (either Suffolk or Queens).
Thanks in advance.
ETA: living with family is not an option

I have no idea what it costs but I drive past it all the time in Hicksville...
Extended Stay
It seems that it's a hotel that you can stay at while waiting to move, etc.

i would try seasonal communities, like the hamptons or areas with high poplulations of seniors that might be snow birds. Place a wanted ad on craigslist.

I was thinking the same thing...but try Long Beach
summer is over- we have lots of snowbirds and you might be able to find something

My parents stayed at one of the extended stay hotels when they sold their house. You can go and neg. a rate with them so dont go by what is on the website. They stayed in one right off 110 in Melville.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I was actually thinking about Long Beach since I know there are a decent amount of winter rentals available. But I am concerned about the parking. I would need to have parking for two cars. Difficult?

we have 2 cars and no problems- I would stay away from the west end state streets
we are on west broadway and magnolia and there is plenty of parking- in the summer I would have to circle the block once- but now it's fine

Depends on where in LB. If you are in the West End (the state streets) or on Broadway or Shore Road by the beach, it will be more dfficult - but all of the other streets are very residential and you shouldn't have an issue. We never did.
ETA - if you start finding things in LB and want to run addresses/location past me - let me know!
