need creative help from the party planner people-edit with new idea
So a while ago you creative LIFers helped to name the "nightclub" for SD's sweet sixteen
Its called
Studio
XVI
The color scheme is mostly black & turquoise (aqua) blue with punches of white. the invites are actual "VIP passes" on lanyards styled after this but customized-Aqua and black
her nine closest friends/cousins are her "A-listers" and they are getting special invitations telling them they are being picked up in a limo and they will arrive with SD to the party,all of the other guests will already be inside, the photographers are going to take pictures of SD & the A-list as they get out of the limo and they will be on a live feed to the plasma screens in the room with the guests. The Miley Cyrus song "Party in USA" will be playing in the room and she will make her entrance to it.
The Centerpieces and linens look like this
But our chair covers are different and we using fewer white feathers, Each table is going to named after a city known for great clubs- NYC, Vegas, Miami, LA, ..... We have mirrored chargers at each place setting.
we have crazy club intelligent lighting and the green laser show like this
& a great DJ, an ice luge with energy drink "shots", a seperate "lounge area" with illuminated furniture to give this effect
we have an ice cream bar with black and blue M&Ms & sprinkles, the cake will look something like this but in the right colors
There are other things too, but I'm at a loss for favors. We were going to do custom tee-shirts but they are $$$, SD doesn't like the photo-booth
and also I'm looking for a really creative placecard idea.

I love the photobooth option...but since your SD doesnt like that...
I have always been a fan of consumable favors...maybe those cool personalized cupcakes..cupcakes are so popular now.
For placecards maybe the name of the club on the bottom or top and then the guest(s) name....not too creative lol sorry

For placecards, what about martini glasses with their names on it (which could double as a favor)? or is that too much of a drinking theme?
I'm a huge fan of consumable favors too.

WHOA this is gonna be some blowout!!!!
For favors what about some of that "glowy" jewelry???? Everybody wears that stuff in clubs....
For place cards you can buy those cheap "blingy" necklaces, maybe ones that say "DIVA" for the girls and the "crown" for the guys and put the name and table # on a tag and attach it to those???

personalized M&Ms with her name and picture or the date of the party or the club name in her colors.
the place cards could be ticket stubs or "id bracelets" kind of like what you would get standing in line for a concert when you are there to order tickets.

Woah! Sounds like one heck of a party! For placecards, maybe something that resembles an airline ticket to that city.
For favors, maybe some sort of costume jewelry or cd with some of your SDs fave songs. The girls may also like a picture frame or makeup bag.

The original place card thing i wanted to do was a touch screen that looks like self check-in at the airport, eachguest finds their name and it prints out a personalized boarding pass to the city?table they're seated at. It's around $700 for it though and we are only have a little over 100 people so that's almost $7 a placecard  I'm trying to come up with something more economical!

I really like the idea of the id bracelet but I'm trying to figure out how to put the info on them. I guess it would have to be handwritten? I found places online to buy them but they are blank or I can order a bulk amount all printed with the same info.
any creative ideas on that?

What about giving those bracelets out like they do at a club indicating that you're of age.
The bracelets, will have their name & table # on it.
You can have someone walk down the line with a headset & clipboard, checking everyone in & handing them out?

I really like that idea but I would need to handwrite the info on 100 of them, I can't find a version of them online that can be personalized individually, only in bulk. The kids need to have their VIP pass (invitation) with them to get in and we have two "bouncers" checking that and searching pocketbooks for alcohol.
I'm thinking of doing boarding passes like these for the place cards. Each one will say "ourlastname Airline" the guest name, first class-dinner included and the "city" (table) they are flying to.

I like this idea, but each "city" can have a different signature drink/different color. ie New York's drink can be The Big Apple and it can be a sour apple drink...Miami can be orange, etc.
