Need Help Finding New Dr. for VBAC

DH and I have been tossing the idea around about having another baby and fairly soon. I would like to try a VBAC for the next.

I'm at Suffolk OBGYN now but HATE the practice. I didn't like the idea of having one of their 16 doctors deliver my baby after seeing the same Dr for 4 years.

My insurance will be changing in June to Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. Just wondering if anyone can recommend their Dr. in the Ronkonkoma, Smithtown area that is somewhat of a small practice and is open to VBAC's

TIA!! Chat Icon

My doctor was open to the idea, but did also try & persuade me each appointment to schedule a repeat c/s, which I eventually did.

I am thinking of going to Stonybrook Midwives when I get pregnant with #3 (which should be any time soon Chat Icon ), especially since I will then be trying for a VBA2C...

My doc is certainly open to VBAC's (I had one with DD), and I know he takes EBCBS (because that's what I have!), but he's located in Garden City (delivers at Winthrop). And he's a sole practicioner, which I love (and he has a back-up doc all the time). FM me if you want his info though. Not sure how receptive OB's are to letting a patient VBAC if they did not do the prior c/s, KWIM Chat Icon

My friend is going to the Stony Brook OBs (I'm not sure what their official name is -- I think University Associates) and she going to VBAC. FM if you want more info and I'll try to get it for you.

Just want to give you a Chat Icon Chat Icon for VBAC -- hope it works out for you!

When it comes time for #2 I plan on trying for a VBAC and if my Dr.'s don't support me and my decision, I will be going with the Stony Brook Midwives Chat Icon
