Need Help- I'm Sick!!!
I've had bronchitis and sinusitis since last Tuesday. Needless to say, I want to kill myself!!  I am coughing so much that my stomach hurts. My doc gave me Augmentin 875mg twice daily and I can take regular Robitussin as well- which does nothing but make me cough more. The ONLY good thing about this... I have been home from work since Wed.
Did anyone else have bronchitis while being pregnant? Anything I can do for this cough? If I sit in the A/C- I cough. If I sit outside in the heat- I cough.  Help!! At the very least, please send hugs.

Try loading your neck / throat area up with vicks vapor rub and keep a humidifier on while you sleep.
It worked for me last year so maybe you will have some luck.

try drinking warm tea and turn on a humiderfier so you can breath better.

First and foremost
I know how you feel Gabi. I had bronchitis early in my pregnancy and it was just pure hell. I had no sleep and I was actually up 24hrs because of the coughing. I was taking Claritin and cough medicine that had codine in it (I forgot the name of it). The only thing that gave me some relief was hot steam. Unfortunately, when I would breath it in, I would throw up, but it was getting all the flem & mucus out. I went to so many doctors because of it, but they wanted me to take homeopathic remedies like water with lemon or honey. Well the honey made me throw up and I will never touch that stuff ever again. Did you go to your dr? Feel better.

Thanks for the hugs and ideas ladies. I called my primary doctor and all he said was to continue on my antibiotic, Robistussin and Sudafed. Unfortunately, my OB won't let me take Sudafed so that's out. He had given me a 10 day supply for the antibiotic, so I am hoping that I will be better by then. I am so sick of coughing!! At least my DH took mercy on me and put an a/c in the living room so I don't have to be confined to the bedroom.  Oh yeah, I forgot to add... it seems that I am getting an yeast infection too!!  Oh, the joys of pregnancy!!

I figured that. I've had only 1 or 2 YIs in my whole life and one of them was due to antibiotics. Talk about double misery!! Thanks for the hugs Whitney.
