Need help re: Feral Cats
DH and I went away for 1 night over the weekend. When we returned to our house yesterday, there were ~5 feral cats sitting on our front door stoop.
My MIL felt bad for the little kittens on Saturday and early Sunday and left water out for them due to the heat, so now we seem to have all the feral cats coming to our yard. She didn't want to leave milk out for them and expect to receive handouts.
They hissed at us when we opened the car to go into our house and hissed as they ran away. They went hiding into the bushes in our front yard.
It looks to be about 3-4 kittens and 1 adult cat.
I am not a cat person at all and I'm allergic to them, they have been pooping all along the perimeter of our house and it smells rotten, and thus my front garden area is all dug up.
What in the world should I do! I don't want them making a home for themselves in our yard!
ETA: It's making my dog nuts cause she is barking at them at the door/window and that wakes our DD!

Re: Need help re: Feral Cats
I think the groups that help with ferals will trap them to spay/neuter them. However, I think they release the cats back to where they were living already. I don't know if the would move them to a new place.

I know you don't want them, but please consider getting them fixed or more kittenswill come. See if these trappers can help with that. trappers

Re: Need help re: Feral Cats
I have tried myself no one will come. They will give you the trap and then you have to bring them to get fixed then you release them. I would take this on but with two cats of my own and working two jobs I can't make sure that if the the cats are trapped that I can get them to a place in a timely fashion and worry about having them outdoors in this heat sitting in a trap (please emotionally i can't handle it)
