Need help tips advice BTDT mommies

so we go tommorrow for our 1 yr check and i know that coming off the bottle will come up so how did you do it ? did you have trouble weaning your child ? and how long did it take ?

also did you half and half the formula and cows milk or just switch completly ??

I had introduced the sippy to DD at around 7 months. She didn't take to it for a while, I just used to put water in it and let her play with it. I offered it to her throughout the day and had it out all day long, every day. She would sip once in a blue moon. But at 10 months, she was really ready and started drinking from it. By 11 months, she was done with the bottle. First I cut out the middle of the day bottle for a couple of days and replaced it with the sippy. Then I did the evening bottle and replaced that and the afternoon bottle. And then the morning one...it took me about a week.

Same with the milk transition. I was pumping so I started by doing 3/4 BM and 1/4 whole milk for a couple of days. Then 1/2 and 1/2 and so forth. It also took about a week.

As for the bottle, I just did it. I just started giving her the sippy cup with soymilk in it and never said anything else about the bottle. A couple of days later, she got over it and started drinking her milk from the cup. I can't really give advice about the formula to milk because she went to soymilk, and that I just did cold turkey, as well, since it wasn't as harsh on her system as cow's milk.

ETA: She had been drinking her water from a sippy cup since 5 months, I didn't just introduce her milk in it.
