Need help! What to wear to DD's baptism!
I am in desperate need of help as to what to wear to DD's baptism. I posted for help on Fashion but didn't really get too much help. I'll be just shy of 8 weeks PP and needless to say I don't exactly have my "old" body back yet. I'm not sure what I should wear? Dress, Pants? Any ideas, pics, anything would be greatly appreciated!!

how about an A-line dress, flowly around the middle? I was in Gap the other day and they had some cute dresses. http://www.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=5733
At my DS christening I wore black pants and a silk jacket that had a belt. Very flattering and trendy.

I wore an empire dress, that didnt accentuate my belly area.
I think empire tops are great to wear with some dress slacks.
ETA: Just an idea, this kind of top
A little casual but dress up with nice necklace

I'm having the same issue.
Everything this season seems to be belted and my waist is NOT something I want to draw attention to.
I don't usually shop there, but JC Penney's seems to have a lot of dresses and they are reasonably priced (especially since I probably won't wear it again!)
Good luck!!

I just bought a dress at Kohls last night and alot of the stuff they have are sort of like maternity styles where they flare out under the bust line. Really pretty tops and dresses. I think thats whats "in" right now. I see alot of people wearing those type of outfits. Good luck.

Re: Need help! What to wear to DD's baptism!
I wore a dress from Ann Taylor but I was 4 months pp and so I was able to get into a lot of my old clothes (didn't really have the body back but it worked)
I think at 8 weeks, a two piece outfit would be best. A skirt or pants and a sweater would be nice. I am not sure about the empire stuff, though, because if you are not pg but still have a belly (like most new moms) some annoying people may ask if you are pg again
There are some nice tops that drape well, though, so don't be discouraged.
