Need help with veggies and my toddler
My 20 month old DS used to eat the baby food veggies, but recently he wants NO part of it..I've tried fresh veggies too, but no luck. Puree'ing is not an option because he doesn't like mushy foods anymore. He also stopped eating meat, but that's a whole other issue..For now i'd really like him to eat some veggies. Luckily he loves fruits and any type of carbs, but he needs to eat more than that.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have any other advice other than just keep offering it.
Some days Ryan will eat any veggie put on his plate. Others he ignores them completely.
I am firm believer they will eventually eat what they are given as long as you don't cater to them.
If I made chicken with steamed broccoli for dinner that is what he is expected to eat. If he doesn't eat it, he goes to bed without it. So far at 19 months he has only gone to bed without dinner twice in his life.

I agree - that's our philosophy as well, and Alex is a PHENOMENAL eater. Last night she gobbled up her fish and veggies in seconds!
I also firmly believe that the best way to get your child to eat healthy food is to model the behavior. I don't "hide" food for myself or DH around the house. What I eat, is exactly what I expect my kids to eat. If I eat a healthy snack or dinner, it always interests Alex and she wants to do exactly what Mommy does.

If he likes carbs, why don't you try mixing them in to pasta and rice as as a start?
I often mix chopped spinach/broccoli in to pasta/brown rice. I also mix in cooked lentils (DS fave).
Grated cheese and evoo are great compliments to veggies - have you tried that?
