need help..anyone have an ovarian cyst removed...then AF isn't regular anymore..

I have a 6cm cyst removed in december which resulted in removal of half my right ovary. Ever since then AF has been all over the board. January 2 weeks late, then AF again 2 weeks later then no AF for 6 weeks. Now after being 3 weeks late, AF started this morning. I always used to be able to time it to the day of the month.

Anyone had this? When will it level out?
Dr. says it should be leveled out by now and thinks i might have another cyst. Wants me to do an transvaginal ultrasound but it's ...should i not do the ultrasound and wait some more?

I had a large dermoid cyst removed 12 years ago that resulted in the loss of part of my left ovary.

I never had issues with AF that I recall. I was always like clockwork.

I would definitely go for the ultrasound if that is what your doctor recommends. Not sure what kind of cyst you had, but being that mine was a complex dermoid, I am now more prone to them. I've never developed another since, but have had several simple cysts rupture the past few years.
