Re: need idea & recipe for good, easy chocolate dessert

I made this for thanksgiving and it was such a big hit I'm making it again for christmas

Chocolate Pecan Pie

4 ounce(s) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Bar
2 tablespoon(s) unsalted butter
3 eggs
1 cup(s) light corn syrup
1/2 cup(s) light brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon(s) salt
1 1/2 cup(s) pecan halves
1 (9-inch) unbaked piecrust, store-bought or homemade

Directions

Heat oven to 325F. In double boiler over hot water, melt chocolate and butter. In large bowl with electric mixer or whisk, beat eggs, corn syrup, sugar, vanilla and salt until blended; beat in chocolate mixture. Stir in pecans; pour into piecrust. Place pie on baking sheet on middle rack of oven; bake about 55 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely at room temperature. Cut pie into 8 wedges; serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Can I have the recipe for the oreo pudding pie? That sounds great!

ingredients:
-approx 29 oreo cookies
-1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened (i use salted and it's always delish)
-1 box EACH of chocolate and vanilla instant pudding and pie mix
-1 2/3 cups milk
-1 cup sour cream
-1 8oz container cool whip, thawed

to make crust: crush 14 of the oreos in a food processer until finely crushed. add softened butter and blend. press into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. take 14 oreos and place around the pie plate, standing up to make edges of crust. refrigerate while preparing filling.
to make filling: combine both pudding mixes with sour cream and milk and beat with mixer until blended and thickened. add 1/2 of the cool whip into filling and blend with spoon. pour filling into prepared crust, swirl decoratively. cover with plastic and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
before serving: top pie with remaining cool whip. swirl decoratively. crumble remaining oreo over top of pie
*sometimes instead of oreo crumbles on top, i use choclate sprinkles or garnish with sliced strawberries.

Chocolate Angel Food Cake

Something light amidst all the heavy food and desserts - dust with confectioners sugar or a glaze and good to go!
