Re: Need Ideas
Looks very fancy, but totally isn't!
Take melba rounds and spread either fig spread or really any kind of jam and then top with crumbled goat cheese!

Need Ideas
-Buy the Crescent Roll strips and lil smokies and make pigs in a blanket. I think they come out better that way than when you buy them pre-made.
-Buy pretzel rods, cream cheese and salami. Spread cream cheese on half of the pretzel rod and wrap salami around it

Re: Need Ideas
Do Brie bites - fill frozen mini phyllo shells with raspberry jam, a small cube of Brie, and top with a pecan half. Bake at 425 for 5 to 7 minutes. They are like individual baked bries. You could also switch up the filling (goat cheese and tomato, cheddar and salsa, bacon and gruyere).
Cocktail meatballs - buy frozen mini Swedish meatballs. Throw them in the slow cooker on low with a 12 oz jar of chili sauce and 12 oz grape jelly and cook on low until meatballs are hot and sauce ingredients have melded together. Could also do with cocktail franks or ill smokies.
Make a spinach dip - the one on the knor vegetable soup packet is good - and serve in a hollowed out bread round with the bread cubes, crackers, and veggies.
Buy thick ridged potato chips, top each chip with a little sour cream mixed with herbs (dill, chives, etc) and top each with a small slice of smoked salmon.
Thread cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls on a toothpick or small skewer and serve with balsamic vinaigrette for dipping.
Shrimp cocktail
Layer 2 blocks of cream cheese, a jar of salsa, and a 2 cup bag of shredded cheddar in a pie plate. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 mins, until hot and bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips, veggies, etc.
If you don't want to make stuff, trader joes has a lot of good frozen hors d'ouerves... I like their feta with cartelized onion cheese puffs, and their flatbreads (cut them up into squares).
You can also always just assemble a nice cheese board and serve with bread, olives, maybe a dried sausage or salami. Or make an antipasto platter.
