Need ideas for an engagement gift for my brother

I honestly have no idea what to get him and his fiancee. They really don't NEED anything.

It's been so long since I've had to get an engagement gift and since I've gotten married it's like I've forgotten what is the right thing to do is.

not sure how much youre looking to spend but my sister got us a margarittaville margarita machine.. BEST GIFT EVER!

we got a bunch of lenox, frames, bowls.. try avoiding something like that, im sure they will get a bunch.

how about something like a wine frige? or a keurig? something useful but something they wouldnt spend the money on themselves.

do they live together? house/apartment?

When my brother proposed, we got them t-shirts and a wedding planner. Then for their engagement party, we just gave them cash.

If you prefer not to give cash, what about toasting glasses and/or cake serving set that they can save for the wedding..

I gave my brother and sil a wedding planner, engagement picture frames/album, money, count down date clock, Address/gift box-that you can write peoples addresses by last name and right the gift they gave you.

If they don't need anything, what about getting them an address book and filling in as many addresses of friends and family as you can? That way, they have a "family" address book.

My brother just got engaged too! I am getting them a wedding planner and then probably their toasting flutes once they pick out what they want!

How about a personalized photo album with the date they got engaged?

Or a beautiful vase?

Are you looking to get them something as a gift for their engagement party, or just a little something special if they recently got engaged? If it's for a gift for a party, I'd say cash and a small token like toasting flutes, frame/album, etc.

If it's a gift for recently getting engaged:

Gift Card to Bed Bath and Beyond if they don't already live together (or even if they do and you know they want/need something)

Bottle of champagne/wine and toasting flutes

Gift certificate for a couples massage

Dancing lessons if they're into that

Pretty much anything Lenox (I LOVED my toasting flutes, cake server and cake topper)

Weekend trip somewhere romantic

Wedding picture frames/albums
