Need ideeas? Gift for middle schooler (at awards ceremony)

I was asked to attend an awards ceremony for a family member in middle school.
She's getting an honorable award (not sure of details). Im VERY proud of her..
what kind of gift can I get her?

bringing flowers (my first idea) at this point might be silly because we're meeting at their house and going together, so it's silly to bring them to her house AND take them with us to the school, no?


just a little bag of lotions/girly stuff ?

I'd probably get a piece of inexpensive jewelry, like a silver necklace or something, as a memento of the day. I still have some jewelry that my grandmother and aunts gave me for different things and they are very sentimental for me.
