Need recs for acne scars....
I have some dark red acne scars on my face.
Can anyone recommend a product that will reduce the redness? Like a brightening lotion or something?
I've read reviews on Murad's Post-Acne Spot Lightening Gel on Makeup Alley and it received terrible reviews, but on Sephora it received quite a few good ones...
Should I go for it anyway?

I think that if you use a primer or moisturizer with green tint to it, that is supposed to neutralize redness
So what about the smashbox primer in the green tint?

I was looking for a rec to get rid of them if I could, not just cover them up.

I also like the Miracle Worker from Philosophy but it is CRAZY $$$

The Proactiv Skin Lightening Lotion works really well! I have very sensitive skin that every time I get a pimple, it leaves a red mark, no matter what. I've used this before and it works.

I've been using Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser and Whitening Mask for the past few months, and my scars aren't gone but they have faded significantly.

Have you tried a Dermatologist. I have had red spots (broken blood vessels) on my face zapped with a lazer. It is not covered by insurance, but it does eliminate the redness.

This sounds CRAZY.
But I'm so going to try it.
Better than the $60 brightening serums.
Thanks everyone.
I'll take before and afters if anyone's interested.
Let me know though, I'm not going to post my ugly skin unless it will help the greater good.

you have to keep up with it. It takes time but you can see all the dead cells that are left on the tape lol.
ETA: I don't do my whole face...just the areas with the acne scarring. Hope it works for you girls too! and I know, I thought it was nuts too when I started it. I hide it from my husband because he would mock me endlessly if he knew I was taping my face

Does this help with acne scars that are NOT red marks.
Like the little divits left in skin by old cystic acne?
Because I have a huge issue with that!
