Need shopping advice...
My mom is taking me shopping tomorrow for the baby. She is going to buy us the stroller/car seat which with my coupon should bring me to about $250. She said I can buy stuff up to $400. So my question is, what other necessity should I get? The nursery is complete, the only items we still need are for when he is older. I live in a 2 story house, but the only rooms upstairs are my daughter and stepdaughter, so I am not really sure a pack n play is needed....TIA!

i would do the exersaucer and high chair. (for us that price for both was just under $200) - so you may have to kick in.
diapers - i'd be worried about size - you may buy size 1 and the baby will not fit them....who knows!

Thanks Jess... I have been back and forth with this for the past week. My mom wants me to make sure that I get something useful. I definitely don't need anymore clothes, towels, blankets, etc. Thanks for the advice!!

the exersaucer we got - is a 3 in one....it's a saucer, a tummy time mat thing AND a play station once she's old enough to walk around it!!!!
there was a recall on it - but it was just a 'call us and we'll send you a part' thing...so i'm going to call them on monday and get the piece we need.
they DO have it at BBB still - it's the: Evenflo ExerSaucer Triple Fun Active Learning Center

yes - we got a jumperoo as well....since it's such a different 'sensation'....ya know? Jumping is something she'll want to do i think....i know i did and dave did and i spend a HECK of a lot of time laughing - so she'll remember the sensation

We just got the Evenflo Excersaucer today, but it's not this one.. it has like rainforest animals on it. I'm hoping Samantha will love it!

My mom and I decided that with my 3 large dogs, a pack n play may come in more handy than I had originally thought.
