Need some 1st Birthday ideas for boy/girl twins
I recently reconnected with an old friend on facebook and we live very close to each other. she has invited us to her twins' 1st birthday party and I have totally no clue what to get! I asked her for some ideas and this is what she wrote:
They are wearing 18 month stuff for spring/summer stuff. They are in 12 month now but some of that stuff is getting small on them. Toys are always good as well...anything they can play with outside for the summer is also good. Don't go nuts....something small for each of them is just fine!
Any ideas? TIA!

Walmart or Target sells these BIG sand pails and mesh bags filled with beach toys (shovels, trucks, etc).
You could also add bubbles or sidewalk chalk.

Just get whatever you would get for any kid's 1st bday. If you do toys, get a different toy for each of them, not the girl/boy version of the same toy.

get them bubble lawnmowers! That was DS's favorite toy when he was one, and still is one of his favorites (he's almost 2). I would get them both one in diff colors. This is the hot toy at playdates that all of the kids fight over. LOL

Oh ok, I thought you were specifically asking for twins. In that case, get them one of these:
Sesame Street Giggle Sound station. M&J got this for their 1st bday and LOVE it. It is a great toy for the car too because they can hold it in their lap.
Stackable/nesting blocks are also a big hit at this age.

-bubble lawnmower is a good idea!
-or if you want to get a gift for the yard for both of them you can do a water table or something like that
-can't go wrong with clothes, a nice summer outift for each of them
-my kids got really cute blue and pink small pools as a gift for easter.....they were from walmart i think
