Decorating Ideas: Boy/Girl Sharing a room
DD and DS will be sharing a room. I am looking for anyone to share pics of their DC's rooms that have two different themes or for ideas in general.
DD bedding is butterflies and DS bedding is sports. Here is a picture of their bedding. I would like to keep their themes and each have a "wall" but I don't know what color walls to do or how it would look. I am not very creative so any help would be great!

Re: Decorating Ideas: Boy/Girl Sharing a room
My son and daughter shared a room when we used to live in a condo. Her half was pink and his was blue. I split the room in half and painted the walls right down to the middle. it was very cute and really made each part of the room theirs. Good luck!

Re: Decorating Ideas: Boy/Girl Sharing a room
Thanks. Did the colors go together? Like were they both pastels? Her bedding is pastels and his is bold. So I don't know if a bold blue would go with a soft pink or purple.
With splitting the walls did you do two walls completely one color, or did you do the symmetrical thing, where two walls were 1 color and the other two walls were both colors down the middle?

I have that same bedding for Emma
I would probably keep the walls a neutral color and maybe get some wallies that match their bedding to put on each child's "side" of the room.

What about a shade of yellow? It looks like they both have yellow in common.

How about making the walls light blue...I see DDs bedding has that in it and it would definately go with DSs bedding.

I say go with one color for the entire room, but decorate with pictures and other wall art to suit the themes of each of their bedding. I think that will be perfect.

I think if you have a third wall available, maybe mix the two, since they are both outdoor themes. Maybe have a little boy with a baseball cap on with a butterfly somewhere????
I love their bedding sets! Too cute!
