need some positive thoughts...
I was sent to L&D this past Monday due to contractions every 7 minutes. I was 1-2 cm dilated and cervical length was 2.3. Long story short, I ended up finally coming yesterday with a terbutaline pump and am on strict bedrest. I am very scared, I am only 31w, 2d and I want to keep these babies in me a few more weeks. Am I living in fantasy world?
Hoping to hear some experiences, thanks.

I think you have good cahnces of keeping them in there a while longer. Did they do the fetal fibronectin test? Also twins at 31 weeks have EXCELLENT prognosis. Just take it easy and stay in bed!

Thanks - I had an FFN last week and it was negative. I am unsure of whether I will get another one. Thanks for the positive thoughts.

Re: need some positive thoughts...
My doctors wanted me to get to 30 weeks, then 32, etc. - so I think your babies will be born healthy if they are born now, so try and rest as much as possible, but don't stress yourself out too much. They may not even be born for a few more weeks!

Re: need some positive thoughts...
babies born at 31 weeks do very well. Just rest and take it easy. I had my twins at 29 1/2 weeks..They are doing great and NO complications that i am aware of now. They are just about 2 1/2 and you would never know that they were born at 2lbs 12 oz and 3 lbs 2 oz..Don't stress yourself out just take it easy.

How are you doing??
Thanks for asking and thanks to everyone for the good wishes and for sharing your stories. I am still on bedrest, contractions are being monitored 2x per day via a home monitor that gets transmitted to a center where a nurse reviews them and calls me back. So far, knock on wood, they have been under control and the terbutaline is helping, I think. I have a drs appt tonight w/ my regular OB and am scared, just don't want any alarming news.
I am 32 weeks tomorrow and am taking one day, then hopefully, one week at a time. Please keep me in your thoughts to keep these babies in me longer! Thanks so much, your advice, stories and kind words mean everything to me.
