Is all he had the low grade temp but acting normal? Many many times at night b/f bed DS's temp will go to 100.2 - I only know this b/c I take his temp every night after shots for a wk b/c DH has a history of febrile seizures.
At any rate, I mentioned this to the ped on several occasions and he was not concerned at all. If he is very active b/f the temp taking that will also cause it to be higher.
Not sure if this is the situation at all or even if it helps but hope it does!
Joseph had the same thing re: the skin. It was more painful to DH than to anyone else. We were given Emla cream to put on him before the appointment. It numbs the area. He didn't even peep when it was being done. DH, on the other hand, looked like he was going to pass out or cry.
