Thanks everyone. The amnio went as smoothly as I guess it could have. I'm now waiting for my dr. To call with preliminary results. The rest won't be ready for two weeks. Just trying to stay positive.

Preliminary results came back normal! Thank God! Not entirely out of the woods but hoping this means I will be able to get both babies to a point for a safe delivery.
They are concerned with the chord placement of baby B. It's not in the center of the placenta and they feel like its making it difficult for the blood flow to get to her normally.
I'll be watched closely with weekly sonos to check the heartbeats. Now to wait another two weeks for the rest of the reaults.

Thank you! It's been a nerve wrecking week but I'm just trying to remain positive. I have a fetal ecocardiogram on Friday and from that point on, will have weekly sonos at Winthrop Hospital with a great high risk dr.
I don't care if they put me on bed rest tomorrow! I just want both my girls to be healthy.

Doctors had this concern with my DS. they called it a velamentous cord insertion where the cord doesnt fully attach to the center of the placenta. They said it was possible the baby would not receive proper nutrition so i had to go for weekly sonos to watch the blood flow and to be sure he was growing appropriately. Fast forward and DS was 8 pounds 10 oz at birth and perfectly healthy. Sometimes they think they see things, or shadows of things, and they feel its better to inform you (scare the crap out of you) and most of the time everything turns out just fine. Just stay positive and try not to worry -- i know its hard, but Im sure it will be fine!!!

Thank you soooo much for sharing! That is exactly the case here. The Dr. even mentioned something called "sealing" which means I would have to make the choice to stop the blood flow to one baby to ensure the health and safety of the healthy twin. Which...hearing that was like taking a bullet. I know he has to tell us these things even though he doesn't think it will come to that. I'm happy with being watched like a hawk. I'll do whatever they need me to in order to get to a safe point to delivery.

Which high risk dr? I saw Dr. Chavez and he was AMAZING.
