need someone to install and paint molding (nassau, south shore)

We're having the entire house painted as we speak, but we did not have time to have new molding put up before the painter started. We need someone who can paint and hang base molding for us on the entire first floor, the stairs, and some of the rooms upstairs. We're asking our painter for recommendations, too, as we're pretty sure he doesn't do this sort of work.

Who do we need to do this? A competent handy man or a carpenter?

We're also have a bear of a time handing our microwave b/c we don't have the right kind of drill and we have concrete blocks behind our dry wall... Can a good handyman / carpenter help us with this, too?

We work way too many hours to DIY. If we DIY, it doesn't get done... so we need to just pay someone (hopefully reasonably priced) for these services.

Any recommendations? We are in Nassau, south shore. Please only recommend competent, RELIABLE people! Thanks.

Kara, can't truly help you w/ a name, but I know someone's DH does this work (there was a post this am...on show me your living rooms).

Also just FYI, be sure you get someone competent (not a joe-schmo handyman)...my DH & Dad did it in our house & it takes a true carpenter to get the cuts right on the angles/corners & make sure they caulk after they hang them. It takes a lot of time

We definitely want someone good and very experienced with this. I know my cousin could do it, but he has a regular job and probably doesn't need to spend his weekends helping us hang molding, LOL.

I guess we'll be looking for a good carpenter!
