Need stroller recs for Disney
So we are going to Disney end of August
Now I need to buy a stroller to take with me. I have a Pliko and Maclaren but the Mac is tippy not too much of a basket and the Pliko also has the basket issue. Not to mention that I would be pizzed if it got lost, stolen or broken en route.
So I'm looking to purchase a stroller. I'm leaning towards the Gracos since they seem to be pretty sturdy. I like the Metrolite and the Quattro tour. Does anyone know if I can find one on clearance for under $100. Also those that own the Quattro do you think it's too heavy to take to Disney? I like the features and the look of the Quattro and we did rent an SUV for the week. TIA

Re: Need stroller recs for Disney
I would take any stroller that had a large basket, reclined and had a sun umbrella. As for being stollen at Disney it happens SO rarely because there are SO many strollers there!

Yeah but none of my strollers have large baskets thats why I'm looking for another one. Thanks for the advice. Large basket and sun canopy are definitely musts. Thanks

We bought two Jeep strollers for about 50 bucks each and we use them all the time now.

If you are staying on-site and using Disney Transportation, I would avoid the two you posted, as they are a little on the bulky side to carry onto busses.
How about a Combi? Those fold up small, the basket is okay, it reclines and has a canopy.

Re: Need stroller recs for Disney
We just came back from Disney....DD is 5 months. We originally just brought her car seat and snap and go frame. But DD hated her car seat after a day so we went to BRU down there and bought the cheapest stroller we could find that had a basket and reclined. We bought the Babytrend one for $50. It worked great for her and it was light and easy to get on and off the Disney buses.

I also have to aggree that a lighter stroller would be better in Disney. We got a Combi one that had a basket, sun shade (you can get a larger shade that covers even more space, they sell them at BRU, it's an accessory) and the best thing about it was that it folded up really small.
We brought it on the plane and gate checked it. It really helped in the airport to just be able to pop it open as soon as we landed, put my DD in it and use it also to hold the diaper bag and carry on.
We only used the disney bus service on one day when we had park hopper passes but it was easy to carry on the bus with a small toddler.

Love these strollers for trips. They are all we've ever needed (haven't been to Disney with them though).

Re: Need stroller recs for Disney
We are going in Sept/Oct when DD will be 15 months. We are brining a metrolite LE (my parents are coming with us - but they are keeping this stroller at their house for when she visits). So far we love it. I like it for disney b.c I got it with a 20% off coupon at BBB and it was only about $100 (whereas my Zippy was about $350) so I'm not too concerned if it gets broken or lost down in WDW.
It has a huge basket, snack tray, reclines so she can sleep, and a decent sun shade (although not as good as our Zippy). The maclarens are great I think for older kids at disney (although they are great to use on the buses), but not so good for the younger babies/kids when you still need to bring a lot of stuff with you.
Etd to add we rented a car so the buses weren't too much of an issue we are staying at the poly so we will mainly be taking the monorail and then using the car for the other parks.

Whatever you buy I wouldn't spend load of money. We have had many strollers that have gotten damaged in baggage.
