Need suggestions for birth announcement
I really want to send out birth announcements for my new baby but I'm having alot of trouble getting a picture of her. She is either sleeping or screaming crying. Can anybody suggest something I can do to get a decent pic to put on a birth announcement? She is 4 weeks old already and soon it will be too late to send one.

Re: Need suggestions for birth announcement
If you're trying it on your own, my fail safe way was white towel or blanket (NOT SHEET) in a car seat. Insert baby, take close ups of hands, feet, sleeping baby. I know everyone is crazy about getting the shot with their eyes open but I think nothing tugs my heart more than sleeping baby announcements.

Re: Need suggestions for birth announcement
I read in a magazine you can send a birth announcement up to 6 months after baby is born. It seemed a bit late to me but maybe you can wait to send yours out until you get a good pic.

Thanks Barb. I'll give this a try tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip, but she's being Baptized in July and I'd like to have the announcements out before the Baptism invites.

I'm pretty sure Lily was sleeping in her announcement and it looked angelic!
Go for a sleeping shot...not a crying one!
