Need suggestions for surprise trip for DH's milestone bday
Dh has a milestone bday in January. Since baby #2 is due in early May, I wanted to get a headstart on planning something surprise for him.
He likes sun/beach/pool type vacations. We will be traveling with two kids also (2.5 years old and about 7 months old at the time).
We've been to some really nice places in the past (pre-kids) - Hawaii, Bora Bora and also to Dominican Republic, Bahamas, cruise, florida.
If we could swing Maui, I'd book that in a heartbeat, but I'm thinking the flight there will be too much with kids that young and don't think my pockets can handle it.
Some ideas I'm floating - Aruba, Atlantis in the Bahamas, one of the caribbean islands like St. Maarten?
I haven't set a budget, but it would be on the lower end. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

I vote for aruba or turks & caicos. Aruba is kid friendly and easy - you shouldn't have any problems feeding the kids, etc. Love it there! Turks & Caicos is a shorter flight and also really nice and an easy trip. you may consider going to a family friendly resort like beaches so there is more to entertain your kids

What about a cruise? If you take one out of NYC you save lots of money on airfare.

I would suggest Beaches Turks and Caicos, or a Disney Cruise. Lots to do for you two and the little ones

Jamaica!!! DH and I went to Couples Swept Away for his 30th birthday and it was amazing! I can't wait to go back!
ETA: Just saw you're going with the kids, so Couples Swept Away is out. But there are other all inclusive resorts!

I love Aruba, and the fact that I can get there in 4 hours on a direct flight out of JFK. Calm waters at the beach are also good for DS.
I also love St. John - we have a timeshare at the Westin St. John. Only negative about St. John is that you have to take the ferry over from St. Thomas, but the resort handles your luggage. Plus is no passports required.

We are taking our 7 month old to Antigua in April. We are staying at the St James club an all inclusive and got a great deal. The reviews on trip advisor seem really good
