Need to have a proud moment...
sorry to make a long story even longer but last night I was washing Lucas' cups from daycare and noticed that his drinkable yogurt was in the sippy. I provide a straw and he's really good with it so I was like  I want to make sure that he can easily transition between straw and sippy.
This morning at drop off I casually asked if it was okay for him to have the straw...thinking that maybe for saftey reasons they don't allow it in his room.
The teacher said that they do give him the straw but whatever he doesn't finish they put in a clean sippy and keep in the refrigerator.
She went on to tell me that they were completely amazed (her word) that he could drink from a straw like that and all lined up to watch him that first day. He holds the container by himself and drinks all content. 
She also said that he's the youngest in the class but one of the more advanced 
I am so proud   I'm still doing the cheesy smile.

Go Lucas!! Aren't those smoothies great!!! My son loves them. I used to have him drink from the straw as well, then I discovered that I can put them in a sippy cup too (dont ask me why I didnt figure this out before) and now its 2x as great, because I can give it to him in the car now too!!
