Need weekend getaway ideas
My 30th birthday is in October, and i want to go away with DH for 3-4 days. Probably not flying anywhere, maybe a bed and breakfast type of thing... i'll be almost 5months pregnant at that time, so a night life isn't a big issue.
TIA!

Re: Need weekend getaway ideas
I highly recommend this place, the Villa at Saugerties. Its about 2 hours away. Its a B&B designed for couples in their 20's and 30's. The inn keepers are 2 artists around 30 who were artists in NYC and then moved out there. The rooms are very modern, the breakfast is great and its beautiful!! We actually ran into a girl I went to law school there and there are only 5 rooms! The prices are very reasonable.
Also, the area is great. Its 7 miles otuside Woodstock so we walked around the area. Great art galleries. The biggest Tibetan Buddhist temple on the East coast and lots of other things. We went on a very light nature walk. It is just beautiful.

If you do this you MUST check out Overlook Mountain on the grounds of the Monastery! The views are amazing. When I lived up there we hiked this a few times.
The Monastery is on Meads Mountain Road. It's called Overlook Mountain. Here's a link for some info LINK
ETA: Umm...just realized...if you're 5 mths pregnant there's no way you should do the hike up that mountain! I guess save the info for next time.
