Need Your Help Please - High Risk OB/GYN Recommendation Needed
Hi Girls,
Can you please help? My best friend is 20 weeks pregnant and she got some terrible news. I don't want to get into details but long story short they are going to have to end the pregnancy due to complications. She would like another opinion as well as a doctor to consult with for future pregnancies so I was hoping you could recommend a very good High Risk OB/GYN. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you SO much and Happy New Year!

I saw Dr. Makenzie at Madonna Perinatal for a pre-conception consult. Loved him but hated the office staff. I was him in Mineola but think he also sees ppl in on eof the Islips.

I saw Dr. Burt Rochelson's group over at North Shore, they are the best, everyone in the group, I saw all of them for both pregnancies.. I highly suggest she consult with them, they took me ASAP when my ob/gyn told me to go. We will all keep our fingers crossed for her, :)

EXACTLY WHAT and WHO I WAS GOING TO SAY! I also saw him in Mineola... not pregnancy related but he is amazing!

I saw Dr. McKenzie at Madonna too. While he was nice, I didn't agree with him most of the time but he did work with me. I liked the ladies in the testing room, but could do without the front office staff. Would I go back...probably not. I'd try to find another but would use him if I didn't like the others I met.

I was told that Dr. McKenzie is no longer at Madonna in Garden City. I highly recommend Dr. Victor Klein in Great Neck. He is a top maternal and fetal medicine specialist.

I also saw Dr. Mackenzie. I like him, although i don't have too much experience with him. However, I saw him at the Brightwaters office and really liked the office there.

you didn't say Nassau or Suffolk...if it's Sufflk - Dr. Paul Ogburn - he is chief of Perinatology at Stonybrook. he's really sweet.

Dr David Bergman - in Great Neck and Woodbury. Preferred Women's Health. Affiliated with NSUH.
I think very highly of him. I was considered high risk, but didn't really have any complications. However, I know high risk is his specialty.

I see Dr Kofinas in Garden City.. He is top in his field.. Best wishes to your friend.. I hope everything turns out ok..

I agree with the recommendation for North SHore group of maternal fetal medicine. she should definitely see someone who is a board certified in maternal fetal medicine.
Most maternal fetal medicine doc's don't still also ob/gyn
hope it all works out. she should definitely get a 2nd or even 3rd opinion!!

Dr Victor Klein - North Shore OBGYN... He deals with the craziest of crazy issues and would be a great resource... His partner is Nimaroff... 516-472-5700
