Need your help with nursery/big boy room..with pics..

DS #2 is due in Sept and though we have the extra bedroom, I would like for him to share a room with DS #1 (who is 19 mnths).

I just did the nursery in a woodland theme before DS #1 was born in Dec. 09. However, I would like for DS #1 to have a car bed, and DH and I don't think the car bed, would really "match" with the woodland theme.

So, should I re-paint with more of a "car" theme, or are DH and I crazy?

Have you considered waiting until DS#2 is older before they share a room?

The baby will be up a lot at night, you'll be in and out, and that may wake up your older son.

I would leave the nursery as is, give DS#1 his car bed in a new big boy room, and move them in together when they're both toddlers, or older.

If you're set on them sharing now, I'd have to agree that a car bed would not go with the current room theme.

I wouldn't put them in the same room especially being that you have the other room..

it's going to disrupt your 19 month old's schedule.. I would put the baby in the nursery and put the 19 month old in the other room and make it a big boy room with his car bed..

car bed would not go with the woodland theme

Maybe you could get a car bed that looks like a safari type vehical? Like a Hummer or Jeep. It could be a forest green or brown color. Then you could get bedding in the same tones as the crib bedding. It could work that way.

If you wanted a red sportscar type bed, not sure that would look right.

I love your painted trees on the wall. I wanted to do that for our son but wound up doing a car theme instead.

I think you're crazy. Wait til the baby is older and you can do a car theme then. I'm all about life being easy-peasy at 9 months pregnant and/or with a NB. THEY'RE not gonna care that the theme doesn't match and anyone who judges you for not having a matching theme needs to STFU.

I waited to put my girls together- but I'm a big old puss and my oldest was a hellacious sleeper. It went fine once I did get them in the same room though.

I'd really hate to see you paint over that gorgeous tree!!!!! I love the nursery.

Do you have another room or no?
