Need your opinions (job/interview related)!

So DH had an interview... and then a 2nd interview, which was wednesday the 17th. They then e-mailed him the next day and gave him a project to do which was due the following monday the 22nd. He did the project.

He followed up with them via e-mail and they wrote him back last wednesday the 24th saying they were reviewing everything and would get back to him.

It's now monday night the 29th and he still hasn't heard anything.

Would you contact them again or is it pretty obvious he didn't get the job... why would they make him wait this long??? It's so frustrating, but I figure it can't hurt to contact them again. But, how would he word it since already followed up once?

I don't think that it means he didn't get the job. Sometimes things come up and if they had everyone who was in the running do this project they may be looking at a couple of them and trying to decide.

Also, maybe he is second in line and they don't want to reject him because if the first person decides they don't want it, then they will offer the positon. My mom told me once when she had to hire someone they ended up hiring their FOURTH choice!

I don;t think it means that he has not gotten the job. They may not be at the same spot with each candidate and the fact that they had him to a project definitely means that he is a final candidate.

Just try to stay positive and I would follow up by the end of the week if he still has not heard anything.

Thanks girls. Dh is just really anxious (I am too) b/c this job seemed perfect for him. He'll probably wait till the end of this week to contact them and then hopefully get an answer either way.
