Need your opionion on my situation! A little long but PLEASE read!
Let me explain my situation....
DH and i have looked at least 100 houses...we alnmost bought a house a few months ago but then pulled out before signing contract...we started looking again and we realized that we didnt want to settle on our house choice, so started upping our "must have's"
we have been through 2-3 houses that were "the one" although already had an accepted offer....but we quickly learned that THAT was the style house we wanted...
fast forward to now, we found a house we both love in the perfect location and town. it is the style of house we want although the layout is different from the original "the one" It also lacks the closet space and bedroom size i would prefer. it has everything else we want though...number of bathrooms, bedrooms, basement, etc. and in great condition.
our inspection is on saturday and while i havent actively been looking for other homes, i came across a new listing that is (on paper)IDENTICAL to the style of house we were looking for. not only that...but listed in mint condition and asking less with less taxes then the house we are about to get....AND i know the layout has bigger rooms and is what we had originally wanted.
SO....if you were in my situation would you go and look at the house before the inspection on the other one, just to be SURE you are making the right decision? I mean....what if this one is even MORE perfect for us. It's not too late to change our mind, nothing is set in stone yet. Who knows...maybe we will go and see and end up HATING the house. but i feel like it is so silly not to try.
DH got really mad at me when i mentioned it and told me i was messing everything up. DO you think i am wrong for feeling this way???

Go look at it tomorrow. even if it is not with DH. You can always go see it with him again if it is "the one"

If you have any doubt, seriously go look. You want to be happy with your choice. It is a HUGE investment.

the inspection may not go well on the other house, you should keep all options open until you are in full contract!

Go look at the other house.
I had a crazy experience and on many occasions thought that our deal was falling through on our house, so I never stopped keeping an eye on other houses just in case.

i would def go and look at it, otherwise it's going to eat you up alive inside.
Buying a house is a huge investment, you will feel much better going to see it, knowing either A) this is the house or B) this house is horrible,

Totally agree. Cannot hurt to go look at it!
I completely sympathize with the poster.. We have been looking for almost a year now. You never know how the home inspection will go...our dream house was so poorly put together (Live wires, termites, you name it) we had to walk away from it after home inspection! Good Luck!
