Nervous breakdown week...

So, it is back to reality for me this coming Friday.

I have to go back to work....

I have enjoyed my time with my son so much and definitely realize that I am lucky to have had 12 weeks with him. But I am starting to have anxiety about going back to work and being away from him...

BTDT moms, how did you cope??? I guess I am looking for comments that everyone survives this!!!

It is difficult at first, but you DO get into a groove and it DOES get easier.

It definitely helped me to keep things in perspective when I thought that I work so that DD has a great future. I tell myself that all the time. Also since DD is older (I went back to work when she was 4 months but now she's 13.5 months) OMG seeing that smile when I get home from work is priceless. I rush home to it everyday. And we have a nice afternoon and evening routine....it works out fine. It's quality time that is important not so much quantity.

I'm not going to lie; tomorrow will be tough but you will be okay.

I cried the first 2 weeks. Its get easier but I am not going to lie..your mind is never again 100% on your work while you are there. Emma is always in the back of my head. It makes it easier because my mom watches her, but I wish I could stay home with her. I agree though, I work so that I can give Emma the best of everything and when I am having one of those hard days thats what I think about it and it does help.
