Nervous, it is normal?
I had my PGD appt with Dr. Stelling last night.. it went well, he thinks we should do PGD, we had already decided to do it, but I was glad he agreed.
So on my way home from West Islip, I was totally overwhelmed and nervous. The reward (the baby) completely outweigh the risks. I guess I never really believed the IUI's would work (except that 3rd one). But I believe this will work, that i'll get pregnant. But there is still a 1/200 chance there could be a chromosomal problem even with the PGD. There is no doubt we will do it, doing it decreases my chance of m/c from 40% to 12% andmy odds of DS are 2/40 b/c I've already had one, do doing it is a no -brainer.
JUst a little overwhelmed by the whole IVF process right now.

Re: Nervous, it is normal?
One of the most powerful presentations I have seen was the PGD one at Cornell. To sum it up, there was a woman who had several issues and could get pregnant but always miscarried.
Decided to do PGD and out of 25 eggs, 20 of them were not viable...5 perfect eggs made it to transfer and then a picture of TWINS popped up on the screen! It was so amazing to see the end result of the PGD!!!!! It was awesome and inspiring!
There is so much hope for you!!! I wish you so much luck!!!

From what I can tell you have thought through all aspects of this IVF very carefully and you are making good decisions. I did 5 IUI's with no success and got PG on the first IVF. Have faith that it can work because is has for so many of us!
