kathleen i cannot imagine the pain you are going through. we are always here if you want to talk! have you considered seeing a grief counselor?

Kathleen...I think about you often and wonder how you are doing. You know that I know exactly what you are going through...I too went through an extremely rough time after the loss of my son...and then wound up getting a divorce not too long after that. It's a really rough road...and if you EVER EVER want to talk...please let me know.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband...NO ONE should ever have to deal with such a tragic loss...it is just so hard to get through...

I don't think you should expect to be strong or okay right now. This is a very difficult time for so many people- but to lose a child and then go thru the Holidays is so difficult. You have so many people who love you and want to listen. Maybe take it hour by hour...instead of day by day. Sometimes a whole day is too long to get thru..so just tell yourself that you can make it from 8am-9am and at 9 say that 9-10 won't be so bad. Come on LIF and post, post, post. Write in a journal, write your son a letter and tell him how much you love him and miss him. Give yourself the time you need to grieve. There is no standard time frame.
And maybe you and your DH can take a few days away? Not that it makes it "all better" but maybe a few days away from home can give you some moments of happiness, even a few would be so helpful.
I wish I could hug you and that would truly help but I know it will not. But I want to send you HUGS anyway.

I'm so sorry--I can't imagine what you must be going through.
While I've never experienced anything near what you have, I have found myself "at the end of my rope"--please don't worry about the state of your house or about "getting things done". You know yourself best, please do whatever it takes for you to get through this. I think reaching out to us is a great first step. You have the support and prayers of so many people here!!
