YES! When Emily falls asleep I let her sleep. Today she napped for three hours and skipped lunch. She ate a lot at dinner. She was never cranky and had a fun day.

I didn't listen to this advice for the first two weeks, my ped wanted to make sure he was getting back up to and beyond his birth weight so no skipping feedings even for sleep.
But after he hit that number, I never woke him from sleep.
Sleep begets sleep!

I said yes, but Andrew never slept for the first 3 months anyway. He averaged about 6-7 hours sleep a day.
Now that he's 7 months, I do not wake him up if he's napping. Whenever he wakes up, and whether its interfered with a meal or not, is when he wakes up.

yesI followed this I never woke marissa up I let her sleep and she usually slept anywhere from 1/2 hour to an hour past her feeding and then s he would eat and she was fine. Even now she naps either right before or right after lunch if its before then when she wakes up I feed her I have tried to keeep her awake so I could feed her lunch and she wouldn't eat cuz she was tired and very fussy

The only time I wake her up is if we have to go somewhere that can't wait - like a doctor's appt or something.
