new apt question..
me and dh just moved into a new apt in sayville. My concern is that when we got there the landlord said everything would be done and it was all TOPSY TURVY down to hot water. Okay, we now squared all that away without the landlords assistance. My biggest concern is that we have a baby due in december and I am worried that we could have heat problems then as we already had water, electric etc... problems. I am really up in the air about moving again. Also, lets say this occurs again...we have a contract saying 1.5 months notice...do we still have to give that if we are living without heat, hot water etc...?

Re: new apt question..
How about addressing this with the landlord now? Maybe say that you are concerned since other things have been upside down? Let him/her re-assure you so you don't worry. That's all you need to worry with a baby on the way!
Is it a legal apt?

Re: new apt question..
If they are not providing heat and hot water-- I don't think you'll have a problem getting out of your lease-- if this is stated in your lease-- heat, etc.
1.5 months notice is not too bad-- so, even if you do need to stay within those guidelines, I am sure you'll be able to work within it
