New baby gift basket
A co-worker's wife just had a baby and we're putting together a gift basket of baby things for them. What are some good, helpful things we can put in there? Any great newborn toy recs? We can't find any baby registry and will be going to Target and spending about $100.

Target may be a little pricey. You may want to try BRU b/c they send out coupons and you can get some good deals. In the gift basket you may want to include 1 or 2 outfits, baby books, nice blanket, baby toys (I would get a variety of rattles to 6 mo. old toys). Baby einstein has a lot of cute things that play music.

Thanks for the info. We'll probably stick with Target, because it's convenient and we're trying to get this done before mom leaves the hospital.
Books are a great idea, I hadn't even thought of that!

I would get a hamper basket or a baby bath tub and fill it with some rattles, towels, I would also get a couple of books, maybe a pack of onsies (but I would get 3-6mos because usually people get enough newborn stuff) then I would get a couple of outfits/pjs (again I would pick 3-6mos). I also just looked on target.com and found that they had rattle sets for $14.99 and you get like 4-5 nice ones.
