The Baby Bargins book has a list of what & how many of each you should have. It's on the tear-out in the back of the book.

I would agree with most of this with a few exceptions. I don't think you would need the slip on shirts if you have their recommended # of snap shirts and onesies. I found that when DS was very small, I was a little nervous putting shirts on over his head. If you want extra shirts, I would say get more of the side snap ones.

I didn't use the gowns I bought because I found them a PITA during the day to strap him into his seats or the swing. At night, I actually found it more difficult to change him in the gowns because there is so much more fabric to push aside than with the sleepers.

You should also consider more sheets if you will have a bassinet or a co-sleeper and I did get sheets for the pack and play.

Don't forget covers for your changing pad too. I have 4 and it is great because I always have at least one clean. We went through 3 in one day once Chat Icon
