New Career
So I just had to book an High Definition Editor for a show I am producing and they get paid
400 DOLLARS AN HOUR!!!
um, and that's 10 hours a day!
Um, I do all the hard work! Don't get me wrong, they do a LOT, but all the creative is done by me and I make an inth of that!
Career change anyone?

Re: New Career
$400 an hour?! That's insane - that's over a million a year - working 10 hour days, 5 days a week......wow.

well, it's freelance, so it's unlikely that you would work all year...and not many people edit HD yet, which is why I guess they are sooooo expensive
normal editors still get 650 a day on average though, still more that I make!

Re: New Career
My company pays rates like that to senior attorneys and partners to our accounting firm. It doesn't all go in their pocket - it covers their overhead and support staff, etc. Unless this guy is a free lancer?
ETA...nevermind, I saw he is a free lancer. Yikes. That's nice! I suppose at this time having a unique expertise he can pick and choose when he works. Good for him!

Re: New Career
Wow...doesn't surprise me though. When I worked in advertising I used to hire freelancers who made $1500/day...and they stayed on for months and months......
