New Here - and a question
I've been browsing for a while (and learned a lot from you all) but this is my first post. We've decided to start TTC. Stopped bcp two months ago and plan to start charting next cycle.
Question - Has anyone's Dr recommended getting their vaccinations updated before TTC?
Thanks

Mine didn't. Did he say why he suggested that?

Re: New Here - and a question
She recommended an MMR (measles, mums, rubella) just to be extra cautious in case I came down with one of those it would be very dangerous for the uborn baby. But I don’t think I want to introduce a vaccine into my system.
It seems a bit extreme so I thought I’d ask around.
Thanks

My Ob/gyn had me update my MMR before we started TTC.

Re: New Here - and a question
Nope, all she wanted me to get was a Glucose test and a physical before I started trying so she can have all updated info.
But nothing about the vaccinations you mentioned.

Re: New Here - and a question
It was recommended to me to make sure my vaccines were up to date. SO I had a physical with my primary care physician before I started ttc.

Re: New Here - and a question
Mine didn't but mine are always up to date because I teach. It makes sense. That is why pg are encouraged to get a flu shot (because illnesses are much worse for a baby)
