New here
I saw the post about outsiders popping in and posting so I figured I would just introduce myself instead of just lurk. My name is Dee. I have been off BCP for a year and a half. And no it is not bad timing so bear with me please I am not sure but I think I belong here.
I have 3 types of genetic throbophilia (clotting disorder), 2 types of aquired throbophilia (autoimmune) and PCOS. I am on Metformin, baby asprin, Foltx and prenatal. If I manage to get preggo then I have to start Lovenox injections and Progesterone at BFP. And even then I am at a risk for early and late term losses due to health issues. If I am monitored closely and take all my meds then the doctors are optimistic.
I have always taken care of everyones children and now that it is time to have my own the world has turned against me. I have not tried any treatments other then the meds I'm on so I don't understand what the IVF and IUI ladies are going through but I have had my share of sobbing rides home from the OB/GYN.
We are "officially" starting now that I have been on my meds for 3 full months. I hope you ladies don't mind if I post here as this baby quest continues.

Welcome and I hope that you can find an excellent RE who will help you deal with your issues. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask...there are others on this board dealing with immune and blood issues also.

aww, I feel so bad for you, because your post sounds so down, you must be dealing with an awful lot trying to accept and grasp it all.
I am not very knowledgable on immune issues, but there are a lot of ladies here who are, who Im sure will offer advice along the way.
So sorry you have to be here, but I hope all the girls can help make your journey towards getting pregnant a little less lonely and scary

Thanks for the warm welcome and the well wishes. Sorry I sound a little down, I am normally much more optimistic. I just get scared about the road ahead. I know I am lucky since I know what's wrong but that doesn't always make it easier. Thanks again ladies and I hope you all get your hearts desire

Welcome and I am sure you will get tons of support here. I have MTHFR and take Lovenox injections every single night. I did PIO, and all the other Rxs associated with IVF - twice - as I have high FSH/low egg reserves.
But....I am 23 weeks and 4 days pg today! So please don't lose hope... and if you ARE looking for an RE, the clinic I used is very proactive with immunological issues.

Welcome! I would suggest joining the Yahoo immunology support group. There is a lot of great info there especially in the files. There is also a Factor V leiden board on Yahoo which is another thrombophilia. Also IVF connections has an immunology board. Inciid has an immunology forum as well. GL!!
