New here. Scared and looking for people that understand...
Hi ladies, I am 30 and dh is 40. We are so in love and desperate to be parents.
We got our first BFP in August. The pregnancy ended in October following a Turners Syndrome (chromosonal abnormality) diagnosis. I delivered our baby girl at 15 weeks and left the hospital with her tiny footprints.
Our second BFP came in March. I miscarried this past weekend. The diagnosis is blighted ovum (empty sac)...50% caused by chromsonal abnormality. Our Dr. is referring us to Madonna for testing since we have had back to back losses.
I am in deep despair. My original due date was yesterday and I was home miscarrying a second baby. I made an appointment with Dr. Braverman.
Do any of you have any advice or words of wisdom? Has anybody knoen of anyone to have two mc's and go on to have a healthy baby?
TIA for reading and any thoughts you share.

I'm so sorry!!
I had a m/c, then . Then TTC#2 I had another m/c. Now still TTC for #2.
My cousin had two m/c, then (now 4.5) and then another m/c and then (now 10 months).
I have a friend that had two m/c, then went on to have a (now 2 1/2) and a (now 2 weeks). So, it is very possible!

Re: New here. Scared and looking for people that understand...
dr. B is definitely the right doctor to see since he specializes in repeat miscarriage. he will get all the testing you need and create a protocol that is right for your situation. have you had genetic testing done? if you have a chromosomal issue chances are that you will need to do IVF with PGD to choose embryos that do not have whatever chromosomal issues you have. i dont want to scare you but you should expect that IF genetic issue is the case - you CAN overcome it with modern science and technology!! the fact that you were able to get pregnant twice on your own is a great sign and theres absolutely no reason to believe you wont be able to go home with a healthy baby sometime.
im so sorry you had to go through this but i truly believe you are in the right hands with dr. B, he is my hero!!

I am so sorry for your losses. It's so difficult to be so close to having that one thing you want in life only to have it so quickly taken away.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I can tell you that my mom had 2 back to back miscarriages and then had a healthy baby. She had me, then had 2 losses, then had my brother. I don't know a lot of detail, but I know that one of her miscarriages was much further along than the other.
I'll send some prayers for you...

Were you undergoing infertility treatments?
Did you get pregnant on your own?
I'm so sorry for your losses.

you may just need luteal support. You may need to be on supplements to keep your progesterone up.
Granted chromosonal issues are another thing but not always are they chromosonal even if tests come back that way.
Dr. Braverman is excellent. Getting a bloodwork panel done is a great idea.
You may not need much treatment though.
Good luck.

Dr. B is a good place to start since you had multiple mcs. I have a friend who had 2 mcs and was treated by him and went on to have a perfectly healthy baby so it definitely can happen!

I had 4 miscarriages and went on to hve healthy twin boys through IVF and using immune treatments. If there's anyone who can help you its dr B. Also I would reccommend two books:
The Infertility Cure by Randine Lewis Is Your Body Baby Friendly by Dr Alan Beer

I am sorry for your losses. But you are in good hands here. The women are very supportive and eager to share what they have learned and lived through.
There are many storeis here of recurrent m/c that end with their BFP and LO's. Don't lose hope, it is easier said than done, but soemtimes it is what pushes you forward.
Good luck!
