New Homeowners - is it just me...
or is anyone else LOVING going home and seeing new things blooming in their yard?
I can't believe some of the plants, trees, shrubs, etc. in our yard. I'm seriously smiling like this when I pull up and see a new plant blooming!
Just wondering if anyone else feels the same!

I'm right there with you. We only have shrubs and trees, but they're all blossoming. I'm buying flowers (annuals) to plant in a few weeks!!
I want to see what everything looks like - I'm dying to know what colors everything is!

This happened to us last year and it was a GREAT feeling. We would sit outside every night with a glass of wine and just enjoy our new backyard!

I love this feeling too! I'm actually just happy my plants I put in last year survived the winter and are alive and well right now.

Re: New Homeowners - is it just me...
its our 4th summer in the house & I'm still loving the process of everything coming back to life. Last year or the year before I took tons of pics every couple of days to show the changes. I LOVE my yard.

Re: New Homeowners - is it just me...
Me too! We moved in in the winter, so I had no idea if there was anything even plated other than the shrubs, and now, all of a sudden I have tulips! ( and other things I can't identify)
I don't see the garden in the daylight often, so when I do it's sort of like time lapse photography! (especially when I came home from a business trip)

Re: New Homeowners - is it just me...
when i first read the OP, i though "no. i don't have any flowers "... but as i read the replies... my answer is changing to YES!
although we don't have flowers in the yard and we won't we able to do any real gardening this year, our two big trees (that you can see in my avatar) were bare when we moved in... the threes are budding and it's slowly starting to look like the house i fell in love with in the pictures!!
gotta love it!

Re: New Homeowners - is it just me...
My mom has always said that the best thing she did when she moved into the house they are in now is to not pick anything, just let it grow. She would have picked so much out the wasn't weeds, but really looked like it.

Re: New Homeowners - is it just me...
I agree. Everytime I walk past with boxes or throw things in the garbage I see pretty things outside. No seriously it is exciting. I can't wait to see what comes up!!!
