New look for moms
Just wondering how many moms out there had long hair and then when they had there kids went to SHORT hair?? Post pics if you have. I had very long hair then donated 9" to Painteens charity for wigs.. My hair is still long ( shoulder length) but Im thinking with 3 kids I want to go really short A) so its easer and B) maybe I ll look older.

Re: New look for moms
I cut a few inches off my hair although it wasn't by choice - the hairdresser decided to cut it and then layer it as I sat there and freaked out.
I think depending on your hair shorter hair may not necessarily be easier. For me its thick and curly so I'd look a mess if I went short, my hair can't handle a shorter hairstyle.
I would ask your hairdresser - they'll be able to point you in a direction b/c he/she is familiar with the texture of your hair.

Re: New look for moms
I have had both very long and very short....right now its just above my shoulders...and that is the easiest way for me. I can still put it up if I want. When I had it short, I had to make sure the blow dry/style it every day or it looked funny.

Re: New look for moms
My hair went down to the middle of my back because I didn't cut it at all while pregnant. (DS was born in April this year.) Finally, last week, I couldn't take it anymore and lopped it off. Now it's above my shoulders and layered! It felt good to cut it off- partially because whenever my hair grows long, I tend to get headaches more frequently. The best part is that DS can no longer tug my hair when I hold him! It felt really good to do something for myself and the next thing on my list is a mani/pedi :)

Re: New look for moms
I did the opposite. When I had DS I had shorter hair and have since grown it down to about my bra strap. For me, longer hair is actually much easier and faster to style and I can always pull it up in a pony tail.
