New mama to lifamilies!!!
Hello everyone! im New to this my cousin is obsessed with this website and wanted me to get involved! This is my second pregnancy. I am due july 29th! Iam extremely excited and very over whelmd. I lost my first pregnancy at 27 weeks due to a cord problem. I also had a short cervix, so i will be getting a cerclage at 15 weeks this time. I am 12 now. I also was told as of right now i have plecenta previa and hoping that it moves!! they say there is a high chance that it can move. But can cause isues when getting the cerclage. If anyone has any answers or comments to my story please feel free to share! thank you!!

Welcome and congrats! Deanna (MetsGirl07) had a cerclage at 12 weeks, so I am sure she could help you out!

thank you.... I had a 2 vessel cord and its thinner than a 3 vessle which is the norm. I guess it made it easier to twist and kink. It cut off all blood supply and oxygen you my lil man.

Welcome...and sorry for your loss. I had placenta previa, it moved, apparently it does 90% of the time. The issue with the clerclage is that they don't like to do anything vaginal with previa because it can cause some bleeding; although I can tell you the way they monitor it is via transvaginal sono, so go figure. They'll probably just need to be extra careful when they stitch you. Good luck!

omg im so sorry, when did they found it? it this really rare in pregnancy? How do they tell if you have a 2 or three vessel cord? at level 2 would they see that?

yes dr says cerclage can be done just has to be exctra cautous...
They can tell if you have a 2 or 3 vessle cord when the do the anatomy of the baby its usualy your 20 week check up. They say its actually more common than not. And just becasue there is a 2 vessel cord doesnt mean the same thing would happen to anyone else. people have had perfectly healthy pregnancies wth 2 vessel cords... i just wasnt one of them. Lets hope things go more smoothly this time around. I have high hopes and lots of prayers
